Peter Obi expresses sympathy to Wizkid for losing his mum.

Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate, has expressed sympathy to Wizkid, an Afrobeats musician, for the loss of his mother.

Recall that in the wee hours of Friday in London, the Grammy-winning performer lost his mother, Jane Dolapo Balogun, to the icy clutches of death.
On Saturday, the Labour Party’s flagbearer released a statement via his verified Twitter account expressing his sympathies.

“I sincerely commiserate with Mr. Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, (Wizkid), who reportedly lost his beloved mother,” said Obi on behalf of the OBIdient family. The loss of a loved one, especially a cherished mother, is extremely traumatic.

Japheth J. Omojuwa, a political critic and writer from Nigeria, also stated: “Wizkid’s affection for his mother has been evident in his music throughout the years. It was one of the “Ayo” album’s central themes.

“At this point, he needs all the assistance he can get. Love and prayers go out to the Balogun family. for perseverance and acceptance. May she rest in peace with her soul.
